The Bible is the greatest book ever written. It’s the word of God. It’s the most important thing ever written. My finite mind can’t even begin to try to articulate the power and greatness of it.
Here is the best description of the Bible I have ever heard…
“The BIBLE contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers. it’s doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable. Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. It contains light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you.
It’s the travelers map, the pilgrims compass, the soldiers sword, and the Christians charter. Here paradise is restored, heaven is opened, and the gates of disclosed.
CHRIST is its grand subject, our good design, and the glory of God its end. It should fill the memory, rule the heart, and guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently and prayerfully. It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure. It is given you in life, will be opened at the Judgement, and be remembered forever. It involves the highest responsibility, will reward the greatest labor, and will condemn all who trifle in its sacred contents.”

NOW… The second best book ever written is… ‘CHRIST IN YOU’
The author is still anonymous. It was first published in 1910. It’s now on its 20 printing. Its only 198 pages. It’s magical and supernatural beyond words. Somehow/someway the writer incorporates scripture in almost every sentence. Its like he is actually talking to you directly. It’s amazing, brilliant and enlightening. He touches your soul and then shows you how to save it. He guides you on your own personal spiritual journey from emptiness, darkness, and sadness to rebirth, salvation and a indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
I’ve repeatly read it ver the last five years and more is revealed to me every time I pick it up.
It’s a must read.
