3 DAY CHRISTIAN FAMILY EVENT: ‘FUTURE QUEST’ — STARTS TOMORROW

Christian youth event  ’FUTURE QUEST’  is starting tomorrow just outside of Los Angeles.  Concerts, workshops, outreach, worship, guest speakers, group activities, and prayer will all be part of the three day event.  Looks awesome. Go out and support the event.

What is Future Quest?

Future Quest is a Church based youth conference that features large general sessions, equipping breakout training lessons as well as free time for outreach activities and fun. Future Quest exists to encounter the reality, power and glory of God, through passionate worship and the proclamation of His truth and training up of young people to be bold disciples of Jesus. Future Quest is designed for students entering 7th thru 12th grades. Adults, including college students, involved in supporting youth ministries are encouraged to attend.

Where is the conference located?

Foothills Christian Church; located at 365 West Bradley Avenue, El Cajon, CA 92020. The mailing address is 350 B Cypress Lane, El Cajon, CA 92020. 619 442-1467.

How long has this conference been in existence?

Future Quest was started in 1998 and is now entering its 15th year.

What will students do all day?

Students are required to attend sessions when they are on campus including small break out workshops (no loitering in halls or outside). During free time, teens have many options including participating in organized neighborhood outreaches, transportation is provided. How do I register?

You may register after any service at Foothills Christian Church beginning June 2, 2012, or register online by clicking here or call the Future Quest hotline for more info, (619) 442-1467.How much does the conference cost?

$33 to attend all three days for both students and adults; $40 if purchased after June 19. The daily rate is $18.00. There are also several activities offered at deeply discounted rates such as paintball, and Boomers; arrangements to attend these options can be made at check in. If an event is held off campus free transportation will be provided.

Can I just sign up to attend the concert?

Yes. The daily rate is $18.00.

Do students need extra money?

Food is available for sale on campus at very reasonable rates. There are also several fast food restaurants within short walking distance. T-shirts, devotionals and CD’s are also available for sale at Future Quest.

Will students be well supervised during the event?

We have a large number of registered adult volunteers who will be in each session, on campus, and at our organized off-campus venues throughout the duration of the event. In addition to this we have a trained security staff that is in place before, during, and after Future Quest. It is, however, an open campus but we ask that students participate in organized activities during free time.

What time should students be picked up?

The evening teaching session is scheduled to conclude at approximately 9:30pm. Wednesday and Thursday sessions are followed by a live concert that ends around 10:15pm. There is no concert Friday night, so pick up time should be 9:15PM. Please see the full conference schedule for a more complete timeline.

Can I visit Future Quest?

You are welcome to come by and check out Future Quest for an hour at no charge, just stop by the registration table for a visitor pass.
